A simple way to learn microexpressions
A microexpression is a facial expression that appears briefly, within a fraction of a second. Start by learning the visible patterns, then practice recognizing them at shorter exposure times.
- Learn the cues. Compare the brows, eyes and mouth with a neutral face in the seven expression lessons.
- Practice at your level. Begin with a full second and immediate feedback. Move to half a second, then a 200-millisecond flash when you are ready.
- Revisit your misses. Review the examples you found difficult and compare your own results over time.
